چکیده
Simulcast Technique can be used to diminish handoff rate and share resources among multiple relays in MMR system. Using dynamic grouping, simulcast technique can also rearrange traffic load. In this paper, we analyze group handoff generated by dynamic grouping in MMR system. Performance is evaluated in view of blocking and handoff call dropping probability.

A Novel Queue Management Mechanism for IEEE 802.11s based Mesh Networks
Abstract – Wireless Mesh networks exploit multi-hop wireless communications between Access Points to replace wired infrastructure. However, in multi-hop networks, effective bandwidth decreases with increasing number of hops, mainly due to increased spatial contention. Longer hop length flows suffer from extremely low throughputs which is highly undesirable in the envisioned scenarios for mesh n...

Paper proposes a new design and a simulation model for the pico base station based on IEEE 802.16e standard and evaluates its performance in a mutihop-relay and mesh networks. The proposed base station design allows multihoprelay communications and thus opens a possibility for the proposed base station to be an element of mesh networks. The conventional IEEE 802.16e base stations interconnected...
متن کاملCommunications with decode-and-forward relays in mesh networks
We consider mesh networks composed of groups of relaying nodes which operate in decodeand-forward mode, where each node from a group relays information to all the nodes in the next group. We study these networks in two setups, one where the nodes have complete channel state information from the nodes that transmit to them, and another when they only have the statistics of the channel. We derive...
متن کاملAdaptive call admission control and resource allocation in multi server wireless/cellular network
The ever increasing demand of the subscribers has put pressure on the capacity of wireless networks around the world. To utilize the scare resources, in the present paper we propose an optimal allocation scheme for an integrated wireless/cellular model with handoff priority and handoff guarantee services. The suggested algorithm optimally allocates the resources in each cell and dynamically adj...

This contribution proposes that the scope of the MMR Task Group include 1) multiple relays rather than only a two-hop single relay path to the base station, 2) the option to study subscriber station relays in the path to the base station, and 3) the option to study relay for wireless backhaul. This contribution also proposes definitions for performance metrics to be used in comparing mobile mul...
